Swamiji's Complete Works have been published besides innumerable research works and works by eminent thinkers comprising manifold dimensions of him no doubt, it is yet found lacking in certain areas. Illustratively, Vivekananda appeared before the nation and the world in his individual capacity. There is no dispute over it; but along with a host of great savants of his time, namely Dayananda, Bankim Chandra, Tilak and Aurobindo, he obviously constitutes a well defined school of thought, and which may be wisely entittled as the "Cultural Nationalism in Indian Perspective". Thus attempt has been made in the present thinkers. However, this work is particularly aimed at highlighting the service randered by Vivekananda in terms of writins and speeches. Hope this analysis would go a long way.
Publisher's Note :
Vivekananda Kendra Prakashan Trust, Chennai is happy to present this book "Swami Vivekananda:Pioneer of Cultural Nationalism" written by Dr D D Pattanaik. The book is a thorough study of Swamiji's patriotic and nationalistic throughts. Swami Vivekananda's influence on Indian Freedom movement and his inspiration, powered the youth to sacrifice their lives for Mother India. An entire generation looked at him as an idol and icon of their nationalistic aspirations to lunge in the freedom movement to free Bharat from the British Rule. It was Swamiji who lead from the forefront with his spirit.
